Earlier yesterday, news broke out that a fresh BU graduate was abducted by unknown gunmen (read HERE). Well, her abductors are requesting for N10m before she can be released and her whereabout is still unknown, that's according to JAB. Read how he reported it below;
"It was learnt that she was kidnapped by unknown gunman in her home at Ilishan on the 26th of this month. She graduated from the university as a nursing student at the recently held convocation in June. It was learnt that she was still around because she yet to write her nursing council exam.
So now, I can finally get to stop referring to Joshua Ante as 'BUSA President-elect'...lol. Joshua Ante has finally been sworn in officially as the BUSA President today. The event was held in the Vice-Chancellor's office and in attendance were the VC himself, Professor Tayo, the Vice-President Students' Development,Dr. Olanrewaju, immediate past BUSA President, Kako Johnson, the BUSA sponsor, Mr Adebua, the University lawyer and a host of others. During the swearing in, the excited Joshua said;

This 21-year-old guy, Winner Deji-Folutile, has been announced as the best graduating student of Covenant University with a 4.972 CGPA in Architecture, the first Architecture student to so emerge in the university's 14 years' history. A final year student of Niger Delta University in Bayelsa state, Obele Wilson, was shot and killed by armed robbers during an attack on banks along the Sani Abacha Expressway, Yenagoa, the state capital yesterday June 28th.
The robbers somehow gained access into one of the banks were the deceased was doing a transaction, where he and other bank customers were ordered to bring out all their cash and other valuables...
A young Nigerian migrant Sogo Akintaro recently graduated from Cambridge University with a first class degree in Economics. On his Facebook page on June 26, Akintaro wrote:
"Being a first generation migrant, a black male living on a council estate in South London, it's fair to say that I wasn't 'supposed' graduate from Cambridge University with a First Class degree in Economics.
Justina Anochie, who just concluded nursing at Babcock University in Ogun state, was abducted at her off campus residence at ilishan Ogun state on Sunday 26 June at about 9pm by unknown gunmen, this is according to her family. Juwon was a fesh BU graduate. News broke out that he lost his life. This is really sad and my heart is heavy, I heard the news two days ago tho but I just couldn't post it. While on campus, he was an active member of the ENACTUS group and one of his numerous ideas earned the group 2nd place in the Sahara: Light Up Challenge.
OMG! This is bad. According to multiple sources who reached out to me, a male student who is in school for Summer has 'allegedly' gone mad. These pictures were gotten from someone's Snapchat and sent in by an ardent Hyrish reader. I couldn't get much info on the story but read what happened according to John Adelodun;
"A student of Babcock University who came for summer classes has allegedlly gone insane.
This comes few days after a graduate of the University died and another was kidnapped. He was seen being arrested by some King David security officers(KDS) and was screaming.

Resilient Washington, DC resident, 16-year-old Destyni Tyree who lives in a homeless shelter with her mum recently overcame extraordinary odds to not only graduate from high school two years ahead of schedule with a 4.0 grade point average, but she also received an academic scholarship to college.Destyni and her family were forced to make the shelter their home after her mother lost her job a few years ago, but the hard-working teenager refused to let her situation affect her. She said she used her unfortunate circumstances as motivation rather than letting it get her down.

Okafor Chinedu is a 300level Business Administration student and also a blogger. He is the owner of theokafor.blogspot.com. The blogger recently had a near-death experience as he was involved in a motor accident on Friday. Narrating the experience on his blog by sharing the photo above, he said he followed his sister to Pan Atlantic University and the incident happened on their way back. He wrote;
"I recently had a bad personal experience, but God saw me through and most especially unharmed. I would like to share my experience as a testimony to what God has done and can do.
I cant help but continue thanking God for his mercy. I recently passed through a terrifying ordeal but he kept me through. For sometime I've been telling my sister I wanted to follow her to Pan Atlantic University just to see how it was, the students and all. A total of 157 students of the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun, on Friday bagged First Class degrees at its 2015/2016 convocation. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Ayo, disclosed this during the 11th Convocation Ceremony and Conferment of Honourary Doctorate Degrees, and presentation of prizes in Ota. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a total of 1495 students graduated this academic session. They comprised 157 first class honours, 708-second class upper honours, 513-second class lower, 118 in third class and 154 post graduate students.
